In My Bag

Event Photographer
My primary equipment includes Canon digital SLR camera bodies and an assortment of lenses. By far my go to lens for wildlife is the Canon 500mm f/4 L, often coupled with a 1.4x Canon Tele-converter. Other lenses include the Canon 100-400mm  f/4.5-5.6 L, 300mm f/4 L, 70-200mm f/2.8 L, 24-70mm f/2.8 L, 135mm f/2.8, 50mm f/2.5 macro w/ life-size converter, 15mm f/2.8 L Fish-eye, 2x Canon Tele-converter. Tripods include the Gitzo 1340 Mk II with a Wimberly gimbal, a Benbo-1 with Manfrotto 3265 pistol grip ball head, and a Manfrotto 055CXPRO03. Flash Guns include Speedlite 580EX II and 430EX. Wimberley flash bracket, flash remotes and off camera Phottix Strato II Multi flash triggers. My remote control device of choice using a smartphone employs a device manufactured by XSORIES called WEYE FEYE. The device sets up a local wifi network enabling me to take full control of camera functions from 50-70 feet away.

Other essential items include 10x42 binoculars, Better Beamer flash extender,
several compact flash and SDHC memory cards and wallet(s), memory card reader, portable GPS, Manfrotto mono-pod, several fold up reflectors, neutral density & polarizing filters, spare batteries & camera strap, lens brush/cloth and cleaning solution. Camera/lens rain shield and/or selection of plastic bags.
